Message of the Presidency of the area
In times of war are young people who enlist to serve his country. Are they who are entrusted with such responsibility. The apostle Paul told the Ephesians that we are fighting a battle against principalities and powers, rulers and against the spiritual forces of evil (Eph 6:12) that shows that the war launched after the council in heaven only scenario has changed, and the Earth is the scene of the struggle between good and evil, and you young people today are called upon to represent the Lord in this asignacición very responsible, how to do that at this time and age they have is ready for serve as missionaries. One stanza of the hymn number 166 of the hymnal says:

We failed in the defense of Zion youth?
"On reaching the enemy will escape without a fight?

The answer is NO! You can not fail, you have been reserved to be born at this time and be those who carry the sacred message to the people. Mind you the blessings that have "that other time we had what we have now? Think, we have the four canonical books, including the Book of Mormon, we have living prophets, the twelve apostles, we have the sacred temples and everything you need to preach the gospel of salvation, missionaries of the past had what we now have to teach the gospel?.

All that we ask you to stay young is worthy of having the company of the holy spirit so they can teach with power, studying the Book of Mormon and interact with the prophets who wrote this sacred book. Live so that when they reach the mission field can be the means by which many will come to church. The Missionary Training Center is the place where they hope, where you can get a perspective of what they will do as Missionaries Rule.

This church is true, Joseph Smith is a prophet is not it wonderful that knowledge? President Hinckley is the Prophet of God, the Book of Mormon is a sacred book and these truths in my heart throb and all I want is that you are appreciated young age can have the wonderful experience of being representatives of the Lord in his vineyard in this struggle we are waging against evil, to bring souls into the fold of the Lord. What will be your response to Mr.?.

May the Lord bless you and we can have them on the CCM to help prepare them, that He give them the skills they need eyes to see what I now do not see, ears to hear the call and the heart to feel these truths, and can say: NO, I will not fail.

Message of the Presidency of the CCM

Dear Future Missionaries and Parents, Those who are called by the Lord to serve as full-time missionaries begin their service in one of the church´s 16 Missionary Training Centers of the world, of which the Lima, Perú MTC is third in capacity.

Missionaries who speak Spanish as their native tongue stay at the Lima CCM (Centro de Capacitación Misional) for 21 days. Those who learn Spanish stay for 40 days. Both groups expand their knowledge of and love for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ by study and practice, prayer, obedience, and service one to another. They learn teaching skills, and they learn habits of discipleship by studying about the Savior and making sincere efforts to harmonize their lives with His teachings and example.

The Lima CCM has the capacity to train 152 missionaries at a time. The campus consists of beautiful gardens, a classroom/dormitory building, a cafeteria/auditorium building, and an administration building, plus a basketball court, beach volleyball, and a soccer field.

Missionaries follow a strict daily schedule that begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m. They attend classes taught by recently returned missionaries and study individually and as companionships. They exercise or play sports for an hour every day. Once a week they help with the major physical maintenance of the facilities. They practice the teaching skills learned in class with one another, and sometimes with volunteer youth groups visiting from the stakes of Lima and other Departments. Bi-weekly, they leave the campus to help stake presidencies and ward bishoprics find and strengthen the ¨sheep of their folds¨ by locating them, visiting them, and sharing their own growing understanding and testimonies of the restored gospel. Twice each week, they are privileged to listen to members of the Area Presidency, CCM presidency, or Branch presidency at special evening devotionals and firesides.

The Lima CCM is a unique experience. It is an overwhelming undertaking to learn to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and help establish His church, but our Heavenly Father richly blesses those who do so, not only during their full-time missionary service, but for the rest of their lives.

At the CCM, missionaries´desires to serve the Lord are strengthened, their testimonies are fortified, and the skills necessary to fulfill their callings are enhanced. Having discovered their own special gifts and abilities and having made lasting friendships, they go forth to serve the people whom the Lord has called them to serve. If YOUR call from the prophet sends you to Perú or Bolivia, we welcome you to the Lima, Perú Missionary Training Center.

With love,

President and Sister Joseph H. Groberg
